Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC (CGIT) is a 67% owned subsidiary of the Carson Cumberbatch Group and represents the Group’s investment business and portfolio. The portfolio of CGIT comprises equity stakes in some of the most successfully run blue chip companies, high credit quality fixed income investments and other suitable asset classes for future value creation.

CGIT is an investment house with over two decades of experience in the asset management industry. CGIT, which is listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, holds and manages approximately LKR 24.6 Bn as at March 2023. It is engaged in managing portfolios of multiple asset classes for varied groups of investors. We have also embarked on an overseas investment journey by managing a portfolio that focuses on opportunities in global investments.

Future Direction

The Ceylon Guardian Group intends to expand its investment portfolio and become a leading investment firm with expertise in multiple asset classes, both in Sri Lanka and overseas. We aim to maintain and improve our asset management capabilities through innovative research, sustain a high quality of investments, and provide discretionary portfolio management services to external investors.
