HARI SELVANATHAN
(Chairman)
Hari Selvanathan is the Chairman of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited and Bukit Darah PLC and Deputy Chairman of Carson Cumberbatch PLC. He is also the Deputy Chairman/Group Chief Executive Officer of Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd, Singapore.
He is the President Commissioner of the palm oil related companies in Indonesia and Director of Sri Krishna Corporation (Private) Limited.
He is the Past President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Past Vice Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (Sri Lanka).
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
MANO SELVANATHAN
Mano Selvanathan is a Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited and Chairman of Sri Krishna Corporation (Private) Limited and Selinsing Limited. He is a Director of most of the Companies in the Carson Cumberbatch Group in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore and is an active Member of its Executive Management Forums.
He has served as the Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and also as the President of the Rotary Club of Colombo North. At present, he is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Chile in Sri Lanka.
Mano Selvanathan was conferred the National Honours in Sri Lanka the ‘DESAMANYA’ title by H.E. The President of Sri Lanka, in recognition of the services rendered to the Nation in November 2005.
In January 2011, he was awarded with the prestigious ‘PRAVASI BHARATIYA SAMMAN AWARD’ by the President of India. He also received the Presidential Honour of ‘ORDER OF KNIGHT COMMANDER’ in October 2013 awarded by the Government of Chile.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
KRISHNA SELVANATHAN
Krishna Selvanathan serves as a Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited and is the CEO of Guardian Fund Management Limited. He also serves as a Director of Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, Pegasus Hotels of Ceylon PLC, Ceylon Investment PLC, Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC and Rubber Investment Trust Limited.
He holds a BA Degree in Accounting and Finance and Business Administration from the University of Kent, UK.
SUDARSHAN SELVANATHAN
Sudarshan Selvanathan currently serves as a Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited. He joined Carson Cumberbatch in 2019 focusing on the Group’s beverage business. Prior to this he was involved in various roles in the asset management industry from 2000 to 2019.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Warwick.
Nalake Fernando
Nalake Fernando is a Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited and the Property Management Companies of Carson Cumberbatch Group, namely Equity One Limited, Equity Two PLC and Equity Three (Private) Limited as well as Director of the Association for Individuals with Learning Differences. He was the Country Representative for Sri Lanka of Dalekeller & Associates Ltd, Designers and Skidmore Ownings & Merrill Architects. He was also a Director of SKC Management Services Ltd.
He counts close to 47 years of work experience and holds a Technician’s Certificate of the Institute of Work Study Practitioners of UK.
Ajith Weeratunge
(Non-Executive Director)
Ajith Weeratunge is presently a Non-Executive Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited which is the management arm of Carson Cumberbatch PLC’s Sri Lankan operations.
He is also a Non-Executive Director of the Group’s Real Estate Sector’s Equity One Limited, Equity Two PLC, and the Group’s Investment Holding Sector’s Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC, Ceylon Investment PLC, Rubber Investment Trust Limited and Guardian Fund Management Limited. He is also a Non-Executive Director of the Group’s oil palm plantation sector holding company, Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd. He is also a director of Leechman & Company (Private) Limited.
He carries over 40 years of finance-related experience in several leading companies in the mercantile sector, which includes 30 years of service with Carsons Group.
He is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK.
Ranil Goonetilleke
(Non-Executive Director)
Ranil Goonetilleke (FCMA) serves as a Director of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited and is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (CIMA). He began his career at KPMG Sri Lanka, and thereafter joined Haycarb PLC to its Finance Division and progressed to be its Divisional Manager – Finance. Subsequent to his employment at Haycarb, in 1998, he joined Ceylon Brewery PLC as its Financial Controller and in April 2004 was appointed Director Finance Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC until his retirement in December 2023.
Currently he is a Non-Executive Director of Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC, Pegasus Hotels of (Ceylon) PLC, and Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited, whilst he serves as an Independent Non- Executive Director of Namunukula Plantations PLC, Ceylinco Holdings PLC and National Savings Bank. He also serves in their various governance committees including audit, risk and related party.
He is a Board member of National Council for Child & Youth Welfare, a charity organization providing shelter and care for destitute children through their six care centres located islandwide. He is the immediate Past Chairman of the Exporters Association of Sri Lanka and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
He has undergone executive training both locally and overseas in varied general management topics including Strategic Cost Management at INSEAD France and Formulating & Actioning Strategy, at the Wharton University, Philadelphia.
Vibath Wijesinghe
(Executive Director)
Vibath Wjesinghe is the Director – Finance of Carson Management Services (Private) Limited, the management support service provider to the Carson Cumberbatch Group on Sri Lankan business operations.
Vibath began his career at KPMG , Sri Lanka and has over 20 years of experience in finance, corporate finance and auditing and has spear headed assignments on business restructuring , business acquisition and investment transactions. He joined the Carson Cumberbatch Group in 2004.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and of the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Post Graduate Institute of Management – University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka.
Amali Alawwa (Ms.)
(Executive Director)
Amali Alawwa serves as Director Legal of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited. She is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka having over 25 years of experience in the field of corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance and strategic risk management.
Has expertise in managing litigation, overseeing mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and ensuring robust corporate governance frameworks. She has also served on the Legislation Steering Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Previous work experience at a law firm as Manager Legal at a diversified group of companies.
Amal Badugoda Hewa
(Executive Director)
Amal Badugoda Hewa is the Director – Tax of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited, the management services arm of the Carson Cumberbatch Group, supporting its diverse business operations in Sri Lanka.
With over 25 years of professional experience, he is a seasoned tax professional specializing in corporate taxation, tax strategy, tax risk management, regulatory compliance, business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and investment transactions. He possesses extensive expertise in advising on complex tax matters, optimizing tax efficiencies, managing tax controversies, and providing strategic tax leadership across a diversified conglomerate. He commenced his professional career with Ernst & Young, Sri Lanka, and joined the Carson Cumberbatch Group in 2006.
He is a Chartered Tax Adviser of the School of Taxation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a Certified Business Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, an Associate Member of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (UK), and a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka).
He has also served as a Member of the Steering Committee on Taxation of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce since 2013, actively contributing to tax policy discussions and fiscal reform initiatives in Sri Lanka.
